Let’s have a talk about our survey last Sunday! It was about a very topical issue: Digitizing the world of work. First of all we wanted to know if you thought that automation relieves routine tasks at work and if you assume that in the future machines will take over your work and therefore endanger your job. Further we wanted to find out from you whether digitization increases the pressure to perform. Finally we asked you if you would be open to further training or retraining within the framework of digitalization in order to secure your job.
The results were very clear: 98% stated that automation helps a lot when it comes to doing routine tasks. Only 2% said it doesn’t help. 89% can’t imagine machines taking over their jobs in the future. A minority of 11% see it the other way around and are afraid of it. On the next question, the opinion was again somewhat more divided: 59% definitely think that digitalization increases the pressure to perform whereas 41% don’t feel influenced or stressed by it. On the last question, most were again very much in agreement: 92% would in fact be open to further training or retraining within the framework of digitalization. 8% however would rather resign.
