A Day In The Life: Mareen Eichinger, Macheete

Every week we ask another person to have a look at their schedule. This week: Mareen Eichinger, Founder of the Berlin based PR and digital marketing agency Macheete

Since 2010, Mareen has owned the boutique agency MACHEETE, which specializes in PR, social media, and digital communication. Before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communications and management in Vienna, she trained in the hotel industry and worked in the 5-star sector, which she says prepared her for dealing with “difficult customers.” After her studies, she moved to Berlin in 2008 where she worked for a campaign agency. The founding of MACHEETE wasn’t really planned, but it fulfilled her big dream of finally becoming her own boss. Mareen is married and has two children: Hedi (4) and Jano (2). Her husband went on parental leave twice and sacrificed his career as a music producer for it. Mareen’s favorite free time activities are spending time with her family in the garden or travelling. This summer she’s travelling through Sweden for three weeks in a camper van.
