Getting ready for 2019!

Toni´s Christmas Wish List

Our colleague Toni from Team FemaleOneZero took a moment to write her Christmas wishes

1. Getting lost in central Asia

Discovering unique places. Experiencing authentic travelling. Riding a horse in Kyrgyzstan. Witnessing an eagle hunt in Mongolia. Sleeping in a yurt. Treasuring unspoiled natural wonders and historic Silk Road heritage sites. Hiking off the beaten track. But how? Simply by finding the perfect guide via the platform “Indy Guide”, which aims to connects travellers directly with vetted local guides in Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Put simply by Indy Guide´s founders Atahan and Alexandra Tosun, “For us it is was never about selling tours, but about bringing people with completely different backgrounds together.”

2. One Week at One&Only Nyungwe House in Rwanda

I’d like to explore one of the most beautiful tea-plantations of Gisakura, on the edge of the iconic Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda, then find the perfect place to calm down alongside ancient rainforest, nestled within the lush expanse of a working tea plantation. Or hike along enchanting trails shaded by towering mahoganies to bring wildlife up-close, enjoy a relaxing yoga session, help collecting tea leaves or engage in the local community–and simply get ready for 2019!

3. Learn How to Code with Udacity

Since having tech skills is some kind of “must have” in our rapidly digitizing world, I would like to learn how to code. But not only because coding is said to be a ticket to better professional opportunities, I´d rather learn coding because I want to keep my brain fit, improve my problem-solving skills, gain logic skills, to think out of the box and leave my comfort zone. Therefore, I´d like to participate in one of Udacity´s online programs.

4. Find the Time to Read Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso

I´d like to learn some business and life lessons from a one-of-a-kind woman, who’s succeeded in her own ways! Therefore, I´d like to read Sophia Amoruso’s story of going from teenage hitchhiker to the CEO of Nasty Gal, the $100-million-plus online fashion retailer she founded herself.
