1. What did you buy with your first self-earned money?
I invested my first regular full-time salary in moving and furnishing my first apartment in Munich.
2. What tools do you use to organize your finances?
I use online banking to get an overview of my accounts. In the future, however, I would like to manage my finances with an app.
3. Do you own stocks or funds?
My former employer offered an employee share program. Since these shares have almost doubled so far, it was a good idea to participate. I would like to invest in funds.
4. If we gave you 1000 Euros, what would you do with the money?
I always think of something. Preferably book a great holiday and surprise my boyfriend with it.
5. What is worth spending (a lot of) money on?
Since you have already fulfilled some material things by your mid-30s, I am rather looking forward to quality time with family and friends. Ideally, this can be combined with a weekend trip or holidays together. I like to spend money on shared experiences and memories.
6. Have you ever forgotten your PIN?
I forgot the PIN code for my credit card at the airport in Chicago without carrying a dollar of cash. The lady from AMEX was very friendly on the phone and was able to calm me down and solve the problem.
7. How do you pay: card or digital?
Mostly with card; when I shop online, a lot with PayPal. I still have to register with Apple Pay.
8. Last major purchase?
After a successful project I sometimes give me gifts myself. I recently bought a nice handbag and had it gift wrapped.
9. The last time you managed to resist the impulse to buy – and what was it?
I’ve been ogling a great wristwatch for over a year now. Often I go to the watch dealer, close the band around my wrist and then tell myself “No Cindy, not now…”. I probably won’t be able to resist in the near future…
10. What is priceless?
Taking enough time for the important things in life and to be healthy.Tags: Finance, Inspiration, Know how, Lifestyle, Money, Skills
