A Day in the Life: Sabine Schoon

Every week we ask a different person to give us a brief overview of their schedule. This week it is Sabine Schoon, head of corporate strategy & consulting at comdirect bank AG

Since 2016, Sabine Schoon has been responsible for the development of various strategic projects, the development of digital asset management, and initiatives for easy access to investments. She is also co-initiator of the initiative finanz-heldinnen.

Previously, she developed digital solutions for corporate business at Commerzbank and was responsible for further development as a project manager. Sabine Schoon studied at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and has worked in Australia and New York.

Sabine lives in Hamburg, is an enthusiastic runner, and enjoys reading historical novels.

 Jour Fixe with product owner, digital customer management

 Weekly meeting with direct reports product owners & department heads

 Lunch with colleague responsible for treasury & a little walk in case of sunny weather

 Several project meetings – discussing latest developments

 Strategy board: status of relevant bank-wide projects; discussion of new topics

Special topic: new security platform steering committee to discuss latest scope issues and decide delivery model

Special topic: customer-centric communication

De-brief meeting with direct reports

 Drive home – last calls of the day
