A Day in the Life: Dr. Anabel Ternes von Hattburg

Every week we ask another person to have a look at their schedule. This week: Dr. Anabel Ternes von Hattburg, CEO of her social impact startup GetYourWings and of Deutsche Initiative Gesunde Digitalisierung

Dr. Anabel Ternes von Hattburg was born in Bonn. After getting degrees in economics, communication, and education sciences, she gained work experience in Germany and abroad at international lifestyle companies in management positions in marketing and business development. Besides her main job, she got a Ph.D., lectured at several universities, and worked as an ambassador and mentor for different volunteering organizations. After an accident she reoriented herself and accepted the call to a professorship in international business administration specializing in communication management and e-business.

In addition, she became managing director of the International Institute for Sustainability Management (IISM) in Berlin. She’s also co-founded start-up companies in different fields, among others ICEM and HealthMedo. Currently, she is the CEO of her social impact startup GetYourWings, a learning room for sustainable digitalization for school students, teachers, and schools, and of Deutsche Initiative Gesunde Digitalisierung (Deutsche IGD), a platform for further education in future competences offering state-of-the-art e-learning and local formats for employees, leaders, and companies. She is a member of advisory boards, a mentor, and ambassador for several international organizations. She is the author of more than 50 books, a blogger, and a contributing writer for several magazines. 

Anabel loves being outdoors, travelling, doing sports, and cooking. She also likes design, architecture, and contemporary art.
