What They Do: The story of CRIATERRA starts in India, when Founder Adital Ela drank her first cup of Indian chai. After finishing a cup of chai, the local custom is to throw the clay mug on the ground, where it then becomes one with the earth again. Adital took this concept to found CRIATERRA, which is re-engineering the way construction materials are manufactured and introducing fully regenerative building products. The start-up's goal is to become a leader in developing the most innovative cradle to cradle materials and production methods for construction. They have developed manufacturing technologies which replace the conventional kiln-firing processes and produce fully recyclable, high performance, and practical construction materials.
