1. What is the best advice ever received?
The best leaders I met, gave me 3 pieces of advice: 1) Great things can happen when you meet the right people. 2) Life is an adventure – take adventures and find people who believe in you and inspire you. 3) Always trust in yourself and believe in what you do.
2. What gets you out of bed every morning?
My passion to create the digital future is getting me out of bed every morning. We live in a “VUCA” world with a lot of uncertainties. Every day gives me the possibility to create impact. Creating the future is the willingness to act and to seek the broader good. For me it is to assess what would give us the best chance of success for organizations and our personal lives.
3. What are your next milestones?
I believe Innovation and Trust Building needs to go hand in hand. Innovation happens when your strategy incorporates People, Technology and Culture. As a leader I will support that all three parts work perfectly together. I will facilitate inclusive leadership & create workforces that are diverse, and thereby more innovative and more effective. I will also assist in giving worldwide access to (digital) education and to teach students how to succeed in life (e.g. integrity, trustworthiness), instead of only delivering knowledge.
4. What is your best analog moment?
We live in a digital world and for a hike in nature it might be tempting to take along a phone to use for GPS, but a “no phone zone” makes the best hiking trail. In the region Lenzerheide (CH) we enjoy the sounds and sights of nature, e.g. we meet squirrels on our way and for Christmas we walk through the “enchanted forest” every year. These analog moments are precious. We are all present together as a family, truly enjoying quality time together.
