In one sentence: What motivates you?

It motivates me to discover and shape raw ideas, to inspire people to adapt new perspectives, to move them regularly out of their comfort zones, and ultimately to be able to make a significant contribution to the success of all with our joint performance.

In two sentences: In your opinion, why do diversity and digitalization belong together?

Being successful no longer means relying on traditional areas but bringing new dynamism to the delivery of results and consistently increasing quality through interdisciplinary teams and flat hierarchies. The recognition and use of the diversity that exists within a company is therefore an essential key to the development and implementation of new, inspiring digital ideas and, above all, towards the creation of a valuable corporate culture.

In three sentences: Do you have a role model? If yes, who and why?

I don’t have a specific role model, but several people I admire like Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Dieter Zetsche, and also people from my immediate private environment inspire me. What makes them all unique is that they have become successful through their individual attitudes and convictions and inspire, move, and change their communities with their principles. They show me that one has to believe in oneself and their ideas and, above all, that one is only strong in a team—because everyone has special talents that can only gain strength in combination.

Your tip for newcomers and young talent:

For newcomers and young talent I would recommend always remaining true to oneself, not being afraid of addressing weak points in a factual, focused, and honest way and to show the strength of decision.

What is your goal for 2019?

In 2019 I will experience a lot of new things as I have accepted a new challenge: From the holding company to the sales company and that with my own management function. I intend to inspire my new environment to change and with deep conviction to drive digital ideas to market at all levels and ultimately to inspire customers. But I also want to learn a lot from the people who have shaped sales for years. Because they make a significant contribution to the transformation process and you have to build on that to be successful as a digital leader. In this way, I would like to make another valuable contribution to digitization as part of the new team and, above all, grow beyond myself once again.
