In one sentence: What motivates you?

I am motivated by my curiosity and the abundance of opportunities offered by the world around us.

In two sentences: in your opinion, why do diversity and digitalization belong together?

Establishing diversity in a company means, on the one hand, creating equal opportunities, and that is simply the right thing to do. On the other hand, digitalization is about transforming analog processes into our digital age, and during the 5 years I worked at Jimdo I learned that this only works with diverse teams that can take a lot of different perspectives.

In three sentences: Do you have a role model? If yes, who and why?

I don’t have “the role model”, but there are a lot of people I admire. For example, Jane Goodall, who went to Africa without studying or any other training, began to observe the behavior of chimpanzees there and built an incredible career.

Your tip for newcomers and young talent?

Stand up for yourself and request professional feedback from bosses and coworkers whenever you can. I know, you need to find the courage to do so, but this is the only way you are able to constantly improve yourself. “If the boss doesn’t say anything, I guess I’m doing fine” won’t help you.

Your favorite social media channel?

Twitter, always :-).

A book that changed your life?

I’ve read thousands of books, I can’t really pick a single one as “the book”. “But “Treideln” by Juli Zeh has changed the way I write and work with literature – that was invaluable to me.

What is your goal for 2019?

I want the book I am working on right now to be published. Wish me luck 😉
